A custom garment from Picassew Firm is not an off-the-rack experience dressed up in new language. It is a fully handcrafted piece; Built from your measurements, shaped by your vision, and finished to fit the precise version of you that will wear it.

Because each garment is made individually and by hand, slight natural variations are part of what makes it yours. No two pieces are identical. That is not a flaw; It is the signature of the work.

Below, you will find every step of the process and the terms that govern it. We believe in full transparency from the first conversation to the final fitting.

THE PROCESS

01 — The Consultation We begin with a conversation. Share your vision, your occasion, your references. We discuss silhouettes, fabrics, construction details, and timeline. Nothing moves forward until we are aligned. By inquiry or appointment only.

02 — Design Approval Before a single stitch is placed, final design details and fabric selections are presented for your review and written approval. This locked design becomes the foundation of your garment. Design changes after approval may incur additional fees.

03 — Deposit & Measurements Production is reserved with a non-refundable deposit. Alongside payment, precise measurements and any required materials are confirmed. Only once all three are received does construction begin. Work does not begin until deposit, measurements, and design approval are complete.

04 — Construction Your garment is handcrafted to the approved design and your measurements. The timeline provided at the time of booking governs production. Rush orders are not guaranteed and may carry additional fees. Timeline may adjust due to client delays or late communication.

05 — Fittings Fittings are scheduled by appointment throughout construction. Minor adjustments are included. Your approval at each fitting constitutes acceptance of the garment's current condition — previously approved elements cannot be disputed afterward. Major design or size changes after construction begins incur additional charges.

06 — Final Payment & Pickup The remaining balance is due in full prior to pickup or delivery. You will be notified when your garment is complete. Garments must be collected within the agreed window — storage fees apply beyond that period. Unclaimed garments may be forfeited after the stated period without refund.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

The following terms govern all custom garment commissions through Picassew Firm. By submitting a deposit and initiating a custom order, you acknowledge and agree to these conditions in full.

Payment Policy

- A non-refundable deposit is required to secure services and reserve production time.   Work does not begin until deposit, measurements, and design approval are all received. The remaining balance must be paid in full prior to pickup or delivery.  All payments are final.

No Refund Policy

-Due to the custom nature of all garments, there are no refunds, returns, chargebacks, or payment reversals once work has begun.  Filing a chargeback after signing the client agreement constitutes breach of contract. Emergency alterations do not reopen refund or dispute eligibility.

Timeline & Client Responsibility

- Missed fittings, delayed communication, late payments, or failure to provide required materials may result in timeline adjustments. Rush orders are not guaranteed and may incur additional fees. Designer is not responsible for delays caused by client inaction.

Fittings & Alterations

- Fittings are by appointment only. Minor adjustments are included unless otherwise specified. Major design or size changes after construction begins incur additional charges. Weight fluctuation or body changes after the final fitting are the client's responsibility.

Pickup Policy

- Client will be notified when the garment is complete.  Garments must be picked up within the agreed timeframe following notification. Storage fees may apply after the stated pickup window.  Garments left unclaimed beyond the forfeiture period may be surrendered without refund.

Day-Of Services

- Dressing assistance of up to two hours is available as a courtesy service with 30 days written notice, subject to availability.  Service is limited to within 20 miles of our Baltimore studio; travel beyond this radius may incur a fee.  Designer is not liable once the garment is in the client's or designated assistant's control.  Designer is not responsible for damage after pickup.

Design Changes

- All design changes after work has begun must be documented in writing. Changes may incur additional fees and timeline extensions.  Client approval during fittings indicates acceptance of the garment's current condition.  Previously approved elements may not be disputed after the fact.

Media & Portfolio Release

- By default, Picassew Firm retains the right to photograph and record completed garments for portfolio, website, and social media use. Clients who wish to opt out must do so in writing prior to the final fitting.

Limitation of Liability

- Total liability under any commission agreement shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client. Designer is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages under any circumstances.

Entire Agreement

- The signed client agreement represents the full understanding between both parties. No verbal agreements shall override the written contract.

A formal client agreement containing all applicable terms will be provided and must be signed prior to the start of any custom order. Submission of your deposit and initiation of services constitutes your acknowledgment and acceptance of these terms. If you have questions before proceeding, we encourage you to ask them during your consultation.
